TL;DR

Qualcomm Technologies is seeking a senior hardware engineer to join its Cloud System Hardware and Validation Engineering team, which focuses on developing advanced AI inference solutions for liquid-cooled data centers. The role involves leading the design and development of motherboards and add-in cards for new AI SoCs/SIPs, collaborating with cross-functional teams including mechanical, thermal, and validation experts to bring projects from concept to production. Key responsibilities include schematics design, PCB layouts, component selections, and test plan development, as well as supporting rack-level integration and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in board-level design, high-speed interfaces, memory technologies, and compliance testing, with proficiency in tools like Cadence Allegro and Mentor Expedition for schematic capture and PCB layout. This role requires a deep understanding of PCIe cards, motherboards, and networking switches, as well as expertise in rack-scale power delivery and thermal management across multiple boards.
