Join Cloudflare's Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team as a GRC intern in London, where you will work closely with experienced security professionals to enhance Cloudflare’s security posture through specialized projects. Over 12 weeks, you’ll evaluate the efficacy of existing security controls, develop automated solutions using Python scripts and AI tools, support risk management initiatives, and collaborate cross-functionally across Legal, Engineering, and Finance teams. Ideal candidates possess knowledge of NIST 800-53 or ISO 27001 frameworks, experience with automation platforms, and a passion for security and software development. This internship offers hands-on guidance from mentors, exposure to Cloudflare’s leadership, and the opportunity to present your project to the entire company while contributing to our blog and TV sessions.

What you'll do
Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls across Cloudflare’s organization.
Develop and implement automated solutions to enhance Governance, Risk, and Compliance processes.
Support the security risk register by assessing risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security into company operations.
Present a specialized security project to the entire company at internship conclusion.
Write for Cloudflare’s blog and participate in Cloudflare.tv sessions.
What we're looking for
Experience with industry-standard frameworks like NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, or SOC 2 principles.
Understanding of risk management methodologies and ability to assess threats and suggest mitigation strategies.
Ability to write basic Python scripts for automating tasks related to security compliance.
Knowledge of workflow logic and orchestration in automation platforms.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
Curiosity, empathy, and strong work ethic to drive projects forward.
In-person availability 3-5 days per week at the London office.
