As a Security Engineer Intern at Cloudflare’s Austin office, you will join the Cyber Defense & Engineering and CloudforceOne Threat Intelligence & Research teams to work on projects that enhance security across our global network. Your day-to-day responsibilities include identifying vulnerabilities, hardening infrastructure, and building tools to protect billions of Internet users. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into every stage of development and present your project to the entire company at the end of the internship. Ideal candidates have a strong background in computer science or cybersecurity, knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and common attack vectors, and experience with Go, Rust, Python, or C/C++. This role offers unique opportunities to learn from experienced engineers and connect with executives while contributing to security at an unprecedented scale.

What we're looking for

Proactive approach with curiosity and empathy for security challenges.
Ability to work in-office 3-5 days a week in Austin, Texas.
Bonus: Personal projects or open-source contributions related to security.
