What you'll do

Define and influence the direction of a small team in path planning and route optimization.
Prototype and deploy advanced algorithms for global and local path planning, trajectory optimization, and multi-agent coordination.
Develop high-performance software for real-time C2 systems, including mission planning tools and autonomous tasking services.
Design robust planners and decision-making systems for safe, feasible routes in dynamic environments.
Analyze system performance using simulations and statistical techniques to validate planner behavior across scenarios.
Customize algorithms and software for mission-critical use cases like collaborative autonomy and obstacle avoidance.
Integrate path planning technologies into the broader command and control software stack from requirements through testing.

What we're looking for

Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Matlab for software development.
Expertise in path planning techniques including A\*, D\* Lite, RRT, PRM.
Experience in guidance, navigation, control (GNC), trajectory optimization.
Strong background in applied mathematics: linear algebra, optimization theory.
Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, kinematic constraints, and control theory.
Familiarity with map representations and large-scale geospatial data handling.
Background in machine learning for planning and decision-making systems.
