As a Global Support Engineer at Medtronic’s Surgical Robotics team in North Haven, CT, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uptime and reliability of the Hugo™ Robotic-Assisted Surgery System. Your day-to-day responsibilities include serving as Level 3 technical support for complex clinical environments across the U.S. and globally, acting as a bridge between Field Service Engineers, Product Engineering, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams. You will handle system installations, repairs, and critical uptime events, providing both on-site and remote support to field teams and hospital stakeholders. Additionally, you will identify issues, diagnose root causes, and drive continuous improvement efforts by partnering with engineering and R&D to evaluate new concepts and provide real-world feedback for design-for-service improvements. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, 2+ years of experience in technical support roles, strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electromechanical, software, and systems domains, and the ability to work independently under pressure in high-stakes clinical environments.

What you'll do
Serve as Level 3 technical escalation support for Hugo robotic systems.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
2+ years of experience in technical support, service engineering, or similar hands-on role.
Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electromechanical, software, or systems areas.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% domestically and internationally.
Experience supporting complex systems such as robotics, medical devices, or automation.
Comfortable working independently and making complex decisions under pressure.
Must obtain and maintain required vendor credentialing for hospital access.
