As a Full Stack Software Engineer, Internal Systems, you will join the application software team to develop mission-critical applications that accelerate launch vehicle production and flight while supporting the growth of the Starlink network. You will have full ownership over the software engineering lifecycle, including building prototypes to prove design concepts, diving into user problems to create efficient solutions, and participating in architecture and code reviews. The role involves developing reliable systems for high-throughput manufacturing, managing concurrent data streams from satellite constellations, and creating public-facing tools. Technical requirements include experience with full stack development, single page web applications, and object-oriented languages like Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, or Java. You will utilize tools such as React, Angular, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and Apache Kafka to solve complex problems in the aerospace and satellite communications domains.

What you'll do

Develop highly reliable software solutions used across internal SpaceX operations.
Create new applications to improve manufacturing processes and operational efficiency.
Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
Own all aspects of the software engineering lifecycle and product development.
Analyze user problems deeply to engineer and implement efficient technical solutions.
Participate in team collaborations regarding system architecture, design, and code reviews.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline.
At least 2 years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree.
Experience in full stack development.
Programming experience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented languages.
At least 1 year of rigorous experience building single page web applications.
Expertise in designing software systems and understanding testing, CI/CD, build, deployment, and monitoring.
Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular or React and database technologies like PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
