Front End Engineer II, Amazon Leo joins the Amazon Leo team to architect and build the Console platform. You will own the full development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support. The technical stack includes React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and Node. You must also apply computer science fundamentals like object-oriented design and data structures. Your work directly supports providing low-latency, high-speed broadband network connectivity to unserved and underserved communities globally.

What you'll do

Architect and build scalable front-end applications using React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Develop commerce platform features for customers to purchase and manage internet services.
Own the full development lifecycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
Perform root-cause analysis and resolution for software issues.
Review team code and provide constructive feedback to maintain a high-quality codebase.
Document software construction, testing, and operations procedures.
Onboard new team members to ensure they can contribute to the project quickly.

What we're looking for

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web, or mobile software development experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
1+ years of experience in computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as Angular and React.
1+ years of agile software development methodology experience (preferred).
Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node (preferred).
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates.
