Join our Enterprise Architecture team as an experienced Enterprise Architect in Newport Beach, CA or Charlotte, NC, where you will lead technology direction and adoption for Pacific Life’s Workforce Benefits Division. Collaborating with a virtual team of six technical leaders, your role involves analyzing global insurance trends, consulting on technology decisions, developing architecture solutions, and ensuring adherence to governance standards. Ideal candidates possess a deep understanding of financial services or the insurance industry, particularly in workforce benefits, along with extensive experience as an architect and strong skills in consensus building, communication, and navigating organizational politics. Familiarity with artificial intelligence technologies such as machine learning and large language models is essential for driving innovation within this high-impact role.
Analyze global technology trends and disruptive influences in the insurance industry.
Develop architecture solution designs for key initiatives and special projects.
Ensure adherence to architecture governance by creating Low Level Designs.
Provide advisory services on technology decision-making committees.
Study business context and interconnections between business and technology capabilities.
Facilitate innovation by collecting, analyzing, and refining technological opportunities.
What we're looking for
At least 15 years of progressive technology experience with 7.5+ years as an Architect.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Deep knowledge in financial services, preferably insurance industry, across multiple domains.
Strong skills in consensus building, communication, and navigating organizational politics.
Experience in developing architecture solution designs for key initiatives and projects.
Pragmatic understanding of applying AI technologies to real-world business opportunities.
Technical team leadership experience is preferred.
