TL;DR · Embedded Software Engineer, Laser Mesh Routing

Embedded Software Engineer, Laser Mesh Routing (Starlink) joins the Starlink program to develop highly reliable, real-time software for a low-latency, high-bandwidth satellite-based global network. The role involves determining which beams should be formed to optimize user experience, participating in architecture and design reviews, and developing prototypes to prove key concepts. You will build tools for data analysis, visualization, and test execution across virtualized hardware, real hardware-in-the-loop simulations, and on-orbit testing. Required technical skills include proficiency in assembly, C, or C++. Preferred qualifications include experience with real-time rendering, game engine development, physics simulation, network topology, numerical optimization, graph theoretic approaches, and convex optimization. The position focuses on the technical challenge of managing a large laser mesh network in orbit to provide reliable broadband internet access through advanced satellite infrastructure.
