As an Embedded Developer, you will join the team to develop systems, sites, and tools while creating software that bridges communication between different components. Your daily responsibilities include writing, testing, and editing code, as well as reverse engineering software to support hardware functionality across a wide range of devices. You will collaborate with leadership to troubleshoot operational issues and work with cybersecurity specialists to ensure all created software is secure. The role requires proficiency in C/C++ and experience with embedded software languages and products such as Java, JavaScript, Python, Swift, Wind River VxWorks, IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Gdb Debugger. You will apply Agile methodology and extreme programming to solve complex problems within a cross-functional team while optimizing workflows through automation and utilizing automated testing tools for ongoing maintenance.
Write, test, and edit code to develop systems, sites, and tools for clients.
Develop and reverse engineer software that supports hardware functionality across various devices.
Optimize code based on specific platform requirements and constraints.
Troubleshoot and correct operational issues in coordination with team leadership.
Collaborate with cybersecurity specialists to ensure all developed software is secure.
Automate workflows to resolve problems and meet client requirements.
Perform testing and maintenance using automated testing tools.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of experience in software engineering in lieu of a degree.
2+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing software programming applications.
2+ years of experience with C/C++.
2+ years of experience designing, developing, implementing and supporting embedded software for various devices and optimizing code based on the platform.
Experience with embedded software languages, products, Agile methodology, extreme programming, and software engineering.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, Reverse Engineering, Embedded Platforms, Android, iOS, Swift, Wind River VxWorks, IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Gdb Debugger (preferred).
Ability to acquire client requirements through automation optimization and work with automated testing tools (preferred).
