As the Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Engineer- Level 2 on the E3 team, you will lead requirements development and verification testing for electromagnetic systems across various flight-test platforms. Your daily tasks include developing and tracking system requirements related to EMC and E3 performance, planning and executing platform-level EMC tests, conducting RF and antenna analysis, and coordinating EMRADHAZ mitigation efforts. You will also support wiring, cabling, and power-system integration while collaborating closely with program teams and test operators. This role requires expertise in electromagnetic systems, RF analysis, and flight-test integration, along with proficiency in tools like spectrum analyzers and network analyzers, as well as a solid understanding of Maxwell's Laws and electrical grounding concepts.

What you'll do

  • Develop and track electromagnetic compatibility requirements for advanced aeronautic systems.
  • Design and execute platform-level EMC testing procedures on flight-test platforms.
  • Conduct RF analysis, COSITE assessments, and radome performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate EMRADHAZ mitigation strategies and support wiring/cabling integration.
  • Perform antenna analysis and ensure compliance with electromagnetic standards.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Physics.
  • Experience with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and E3 performance requirements development.
  • Proficiency in RF analysis, antenna design, and COSITE assessments.
  • Knowledge of Maxwell's Laws and principles of electromagnetic wave theory.
  • Familiarity with standard test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
  • Basic understanding of RF propagation and electrical grounding concepts.
  • Ability to coordinate EMC testing and flight-test modification oversight.
