As an Elastic Engineer, you will join a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, developers, and data consumers in an agile environment to build advanced technology solutions for mission-driven projects. You will be responsible for the assessment, design, construction, and maintenance of scalable platforms that organize disparate data into meaningful insights. Your daily work involves developing and deploying pipelines for security operations, including log collection, normalization, enrichment, and routing. You will utilize the Elastic Stack, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Agents while managing infrastructure via Kubernetes or Docker and configuration tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform. The role requires expertise in SIEM platforms, data tiering strategies, and cluster monitoring to solve complex problems in areas such as fraud detection and national intelligence within highly structured, controlled, and classified environments.
Design and build data pipeline architectures for security operations including log collection, normalization, enrichment, and routing.
Deploy and maintain Elastic Stack components including Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and various agents.
Manage the assessment, design, and maintenance of scalable platforms for diverse client needs.
Implement data engineering activities to organize disparate data into meaningful insights.
Configure and manage infrastructure using Kubernetes, Docker, and configuration management tools like Ansible or Terraform.
Monitor cluster health and manage index lifecycle strategies including hot-warm-cold-frozen data tiering.
Automate system operations tasks using Python, Bash, or other scripting languages.
Operate within highly structured, classified environments while maintaining strict access enforcement protocols.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience with SIEM platforms such as Elastic Security, Kibana, Splunk Enterprise Security, Sentinel, or Chronicle.
3+ years of experience designing data pipeline architectures for security operations, including log collection, normalization, enrichment, and routing.
2+ years of experience with Elastic Stack, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Agents.
Experience deploying platforms across cloud, on-premises, and disconnected environments using Kubernetes or Docker.
Experience with configuration management or DevOps tooling, including Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
Experience working in highly structured, controlled, classified or compartmented environments with strict access enforcement.
Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems.
