What you'll do

Own the roadmap for CSS data platform, aligning with Salesforce's AI-first strategy.
Establish architectural principles and governance standards for enterprise-scale telemetry.
Drive technical excellence by setting engineering standards for CI/CD and observability.
Lead and grow multiple engineering teams to build a culture of high accountability.
Influence executive-level decisions on architecture and resource allocation for strategic initiatives.

What we're looking for

15+ years experience in data or platform engineering with at least 5 years leading multi-team organizations.
Deep expertise in Spark, Trino/Presto, dbt, Snowflake, and modern lakehouse architectures.
Proven ability to build and scale high-performing engineering teams in complex environments.
Strong command of semantic layers, data modeling, and enterprise metrics systems.
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure including S3, EMR, ECS, IAM, and containerized environments.
Expertise in streaming systems like Flink and Kafka, including topic design and scaling.
Executive-level communication skills for influencing decisions at the VP/C-suite level.
