TL;DR · Director, Commercial AI Orchestration Architect

As the Director, Commercial AI Orchestration Architect, you will serve as the technical authority for a strategic program transitioning from traditional next-best-action solutions to an enterprise agentic orchestration capability. You will own the end-to-end architecture of this system, defining how agents, decisioning models, and multi-channel execution services coordinate personalized healthcare provider engagement. Your daily work involves designing infrastructure for journey generation, ensuring all actions are explainable and compliant, and establishing engineering standards to ensure a sustainable, independently operated capability. You will utilize tools such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or LangChain, while applying expertise in Model Context Protocol, RAG, LLMOps, and MLOps. The role solves the complex problem of creating a reusable orchestration foundation that integrates customer signals and brand guardrails to automate and optimize cross-channel engagement across various medical communication platforms.

What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end architecture for the agentic orchestration capability including journey generation, execution, and continuous learning.
  • Define how the system processes customer signals, brand priorities, content eligibility, and compliance rules to drive engagement.
  • Establish technical standards and guardrails for multi-agent systems, including decision rights, tool access, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Translate commercial objectives into configurable orchestration rules and testable agent behaviors across multiple communication channels.
  • Validate critical design decisions through code reviews, prototypes, and production-readiness assessments.
  • Ensure all automated recommendations are explainable, traceable, compliant, and reproducible for audit purposes.
  • Develop evaluation frameworks to measure journey quality, recommendation relevance, and overall business outcomes.
  • Manage the transition of ownership from implementation partners to internal teams by establishing engineering standards and documentation.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience designing and delivering production-grade next-best-action, journey optimization, or omnichannel orchestration platforms.
  • Strong understanding of multi-agent architecture including decomposition, shared state, context management, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, LangChain, or comparable tools.
  • Experience designing agent tool access using Model Context Protocol (MCP), APIs, event-driven integration, and asynchronous messaging.
  • Strong knowledge of context engineering, prompt management, RAG, and agent memory patterns.
  • Expertise in decisioning methods such as contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, predictive scoring, and mathematical optimization.
  • Experience establishing LLMOps and MLOps practices including CI/CD, model lifecycle management, and evaluation gates.
  • Proficiency in designing secure enterprise integrations using OAuth 2.0, RBAC, and other standard security protocols.
