Demographic Data Scientist

What you'll do

• Write scripts to pre-process, clean, and verify data integrity from various sources and formats.
• Investigate new data sources to extend and improve insights for hardware products.
• Conduct data exploration including QA/QC, statistical analysis, and mathematical modeling.
• Create custom visualizations to help decision makers quickly understand complex data.
• Build tools that enable easier analysis and visualization for cross-functional teams.
• Develop statistical or machine learning models to understand human variation in populations.
• Communicate data-driven solutions and trends through presentations to various stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree plus 3 years of experience or a PhD in an analytical field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Physics.
• Deep knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling tools including linear algebra, geometry, optimization, or inference techniques.
• Strong programming skills in scripting languages like Python, R, or Matlab to model and visualize data.
• Experience with population modeling, inference, weighting, and simulation techniques such as Monte Carlo methods.
• Proficiency in Bayesian methods to identify trends and anomalies in multivariate or large-scale datasets.
• Experience making inferences from small-scale datasets.
• Experience with human anthropometric, biometric, or perception/preference data.
• Experience using generative AI tools in workflows.
