Join Microsoft as a Datacenter Regional Operations Specialist – Rapid Response, a critical role within the Cloud + Infrastructure (CO+I) team, where you will support Breakfix and Deployment of IT hardware across the AMER region. Your daily tasks include deploying datacenter physical hardware, managing project plans, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. You’ll work closely with engineering teams to diagnose faults and drive continuous improvement in processes and tools. This role requires expertise in physical IT infrastructures, including servers, SANs, and networking, as well as basic knowledge of critical environment infrastructure such as UPS systems and generators. With a focus on environmental sustainability and operational excellence, you will contribute to the reliability and efficiency of Microsoft’s Azure Cloud Service at scale.

What you'll do

  • Support deployment of on-site datacenter physical hardware.
  • Manage end-to-end project plans to ensure timely delivery and stakeholder communication.
  • Perform daily project check-ins and updates to maintain quality and delivery.
  • Install, replace, troubleshoot cables and hardware efficiently while meeting SLAs.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks according to safety protocols and standards.
  • Partner with engineering teams for diagnostic testing to identify root causes of issues.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities, communicating them to stakeholders for resolution.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments.
  • Solid working knowledge of physical IT infrastructures (servers, SANs, networking).
  • Preferred: 4+ years’ experience in a 24x7x365 production environment.
  • Preferred: Technical college degree or certification in Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications.
