Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop and deploy data pipelines and platforms to organize disparate data sources.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data stores for big data business analysis.
• Build and manage ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Write scripts and programs to convert various data types into usable formats.
• Support the scaling, monitoring, and operation of large-scale data platforms.
• Perform analytical exploration and data examination to support mission-driven projects.
• Implement data engineering activities to support fraud detection, research, and intelligence missions.

What we're looking for

• 1+ year of experience in data engineering, data science, or pipeline development.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry.
• Experience using programming languages, including Python.
• Experience developing and maintaining scalable data stores for big data business analysis.
• Experience developing scalable data pipelines or ETL and ELT workflows for reporting and analytics.
• Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Ability to develop scripts for data conversion and support scaling, monitoring, and operating data platforms.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Experience deploying analytics workloads on PaaS and SaaS platforms like AWS EMR, Redshift, SageMaker, or Databricks (preferred).
• Experience with distributed or parallel programming frameworks like Apache Spark or NVIDIA CUDA (preferred).
• Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks like Terraform or CloudFormation (preferred).
• Master’s degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics (preferred).
• Cloud Development Certification such as AWS Solutions Architect or Azure Certification (preferred).
• Information Security Certification such as Security+ or CISSP Certification (preferred).
