As a Senior Risk Strategist on Stripe’s Risk Foundations team, you will play a pivotal role in managing risk across the user lifecycle by developing scalable methods to identify, measure, and control end-to-end risks including credit and fraud. Your responsibilities include shaping crucial risk management systems, translating complex requirements into technical specifications, and collaborating closely with Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to create data-driven, globally scalable systems that balance strong risk management fundamentals with seamless user experiences. You will need a builder’s mindset, analytical skills, and experience in financial risk modeling, along with proficiency in SQL and preferably Python. This role demands expertise in the global ecosystem of Stripe’s products and integrations, as well as the ability to challenge industry norms to foster innovation for businesses worldwide.

What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in financial risk modeling
Proven ability to develop and implement risk management systems
Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Data Science)
Expertise in data analysis and quantitative methods for business decision-making
Proficiency in SQL required; Python experience preferred
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Understanding of global payment risks and ecosystem interactions
