CPU Performance Engineer

As a CPU Performance Engineer, you will join a high-visibility chip design team to architect cutting-edge CPU performance features while collaborating with RTL and implementation teams. Your daily responsibilities involve identifying and solving hardware and software performance bottlenecks, developing advanced CPU performance simulators, and building infrastructure for performance exploration and correlation tools. You will work closely with software and system teams to profile and optimize critical workloads for both power and performance, ensuring accurate correlation between RTL and simulator results. The role requires expertise in CPU performance architecture, micro-architecture design, and performance analysis within a modeling environment. Required skills include proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages like Perl and Python. You will apply knowledge of common performance benchmarks, OS internals, and compiler technology to solve complex technical problems within the core processor domain.
