Join our dynamic team in Santa Ana, CA as an HVAC&R Technician, where you will play a crucial role in assembling and installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for maritime vessels. Your daily tasks include fabricating and brazing refrigerant piping, conducting functional testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults to ensure high-reliability operation. You’ll also support facility HVAC systems, maintaining controlled environments essential for production quality and worker safety. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of industrial or marine HVAC experience, EPA Section 608 certification, and the ability to read technical drawings. Familiarity with OSHA practices and BAS/PLC controls is preferred, as well as a U.S. Secret security clearance.

What you'll do

  • Assemble and install HVAC&R systems for maritime vessels.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
  • Conduct functional testing and prepare systems for inspections.
  • Maintain welding bay ventilation and controlled-environment areas.
  • Support installation and maintenance of production facility HVAC systems.

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years of HVAC service experience in industrial, marine, shipyard, or heavy commercial environments.
  • EPA Section 608 certification (Universal preferred).
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical HVAC systems using diagnostic tools.
  • Experience brazing/soldering refrigerant piping (copper and copper alloys).
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety practices including LOTO, confined space entry, fall protection, and PPE.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school certificate required.
