Cloud Engineer - TS/SCI w/ Poly As a Cloud Engineer at GDIT, you will join the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues while providing technical support and recommendations based on client needs. Your daily work involves maintaining cloud solutions following best practices, performing system reviews for cost efficiencies, and collaborating within an Agile Scrum environment. The role requires proficiency in Java, Python, and web services including REST APIs. You will utilize a suite of tools including AWS (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation), Docker, Ansible, GitHub, and Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery. Additional experience with Terraform, Jira, and the Assessment and Authorization process is desired to support complex government and defense projects.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems for clients.
Write scripts using programming languages such as Java and Python.
Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
Review existing systems to recommend improvements and cost efficiencies.
Maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
Utilize DevOps tools like GitHub and Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery.
Manage AWS services including S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
Provide technical support and recommendations based on specific customer needs.

What we're looking for

Must possess a Top Secret SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Must be a United States citizen.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience/certifications).
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or higher certification.
3+ years of related experience.
Experience with AWS services, Docker, Ansible, and DevOps tools like GitHub and Jenkins.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java and Python.
Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph.
