As a Client Platform Security Engineer on the Secure Devices team, you will work at the intersection of software development, security, and client platform engineering. The role requires proficiency in Go, Swift, or Objective-C, along with deep expertise in the Apple ecosystem, networking protocols like TCP, DNS, SSH, TLS, and HTTP, and experience with AWS cloud services.

What you'll do

Design and implement secure architectures for Stripe's mobile expansion initiative.
Act as a subject matter expert on iOS security best practices for partner teams.
Develop telemetry and prevention capabilities using macOS system extensions.
Operate high RPS backend services to provide critical security controls to endpoints.
Reduce the use of untrusted software while maintaining a positive user experience.
Manage device attestation flows to secure device and user identities.
Build and maintain a data loss prevention program to block unauthorized exfiltration.
Identify and mitigate risks against malware and advanced persistent threats on client platforms.

What we're looking for

4+ years of relevant experience securing iOS and/or macOS platforms.
4+ years of software engineering experience writing Go, Swift, or Objective-C.
Deep expertise in securing devices within the Apple ecosystem.
Understanding of the current threat landscape to defend Apple devices against modern threats.
Ability to think creatively and holistically about reducing risk in complex environments.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude to work across multiple teams.
Experience implementing endpoint detection and response software or data loss prevention strategies.
Knowledge of macOS/iOS internals, networking protocols (TCP, DNS, SSH, TLS, HTTP), and Linux system administration.
