JOB TITLE: Senior Electrical Engineer, Reserve and Backup Power
The Senior Electrical Engineer, Reserve and Backup Power joins the Maritime Division to own reserve and backup energy methods for a maritime autonomous vehicle. Reporting to the Energy Storage lead, you will design bootstrap power solutions for vehicle initialization, emergency operation, and safe recovery when primary energy is depleted. You will select and qualify reserve energy technologies for long-duration dormancy, define power sequencing requirements for embedded systems, and interface with primary energy storage, VMS, and safety systems. This role requires expertise in energy storage, power systems, and backup power design, specifically involving reserve battery or capacitor technologies.
