As a Staff Engineer on Qualcomm’s Audio Customer Engineering team, you will serve as the technical expert for audio-related aspects of automotive platforms, working closely with key OEMs to design, integrate, optimize, and commercialize advanced audio solutions. Ideal candidates have extensive experience working with Automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, a deep understanding of functional safety and security considerations, and strong cross-team collaboration skills.

What you'll do

Lead audio bring-up, integration, and optimization on customer platforms for Snapdragon Automotive.
Debug complex audio issues across DSPs, HALs, frameworks, middleware, and applications.
Collaborate with internal teams to reproduce, root-cause, and resolve customer-reported issues.
Develop comprehensive technical documentation for use by customers and internal stakeholders.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
Represent Customer Engineering in architecture discussions and cross-functional initiatives.

What we're looking for

8+ years of embedded systems experience in multimedia or related fields.
Deep knowledge of Qualcomm Automotive SoCs and audio frameworks like AudioReach.
Strong debugging skills across OS, drivers, middleware, and applications.
Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with Android Automotive OS audio HAL.
Excellent communication and customer-facing technical presentation skills.
Hands-on experience with DSP-based audio processing and IVI integration.
