As a Systems Engineer IV in Lam’s Global Products Group within the Wet Equipment Technology Systems organization, you will lead the technical execution of a next-generation semiconductor manufacturing tool from concept through production. This role requires a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, experience leading system-level design and validation, and expertise in semiconductor manufacturing equipment integration.

What you'll do

  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact for technical coordination across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Own the top-level system specification and architecture from concept through production readiness.
  • Define subsystem functional specifications with clear interfaces and allocated error budgets.
  • Author the System Theory of Operation and guide development of high-level BOM structures.
  • Consult on and validate system-level test plans, ensuring designs meet DFx criteria.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Strong background in electrical, mechanical engineering, or controls design for complex manufacturing systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading system-level design, integration, and validation.
  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment and system integration.
  • Hands-on experience authoring system specifications, P&IDs, ICDs, and validation documentation.
  • Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and drive complex projects.
