Join the Fleet Ballistic Missile Avionics team at Lockheed Martin as an ElectroMechanical Engineer, where you will collaborate with senior engineers to develop and refine 3D concept models of space flight avionics cable and harnessing systems. Your daily responsibilities include conducting R&D trade studies, defining requirements for architecture and interface development, generating technical presentations, and participating in design reviews. You will leverage CAD tools like CREO and Zuken, along with EPDM and SAP/ERP databases, to ensure the successful integration of world-class avionics systems. This role requires a strong background in electrical/mechanical engineering, including cable manufacturing processes and knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). US Citizenship is required for obtaining and maintaining a Secret clearance.

What you'll do

  • Develop cable designs and performance requirements for avionics subsystems.
  • Conduct R&D trade studies during the Pre-SRR design phase.
  • Generate technical presentations and end-of-year reports for project documentation.
  • Resolve test anomalies and support system-level testing activities.
  • Define interface development and maintenance frameworks throughout program lifecycle.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in electrical/mechanical engineering, including wire harness/cable design.
  • Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes and full working knowledge of GD&T.
  • Experience with CAD design and synthesizing requirements into cable/harness designs.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance; US Citizenship required.
