As an BYG-1 Offsite Integration Support Tech at General Dynamics Mission Systems, you will join a dedicated team supporting the Navy's AN/BYG-1 Submarine Combat System. Your primary responsibilities include analyzing and integrating software and hardware components to ensure system reliability and safety, configuring and troubleshooting complex systems on various hardware platforms, and coordinating with onsite personnel to resolve issues identified at offsite locations. You will work within an Agile development environment, supporting Scrum teams and preparing documentation as needed. The role requires proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7-9, bash and Perl scripting, and experience with Kubernetes orchestration and Ansible. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of OS operations across different platforms and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have BYG-1 Experience and Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot bash and perl scripts on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7 - 9.
  • Experience installing complex systems on various hardware baselines and troubleshooting software/hardware issues.
  • Knowledge of OS operation in a cross-platform environment, including Linux/Windows.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, and defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions.
  • Ability to represent team progress and processes to non-program personnel effectively.
