Join Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems team as an Associate Computer Systems Architect/Computer Systems Architect (Level 1/2) where you will support diverse IT environments across Restricted, DOD, and Unclassified systems. Your daily tasks include administering Linux servers and workstations, installing and troubleshooting hardened operating systems, and providing on-call 24/7 pager support during critical testing phases. You’ll need expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Windows administration, and network security tools like Nessus and SCC SCAP scanner. Ideal candidates have a STEM degree with relevant experience and must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance or SCI access. This role demands proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell, along with knowledge of CMMC/DFARS/RMF/DOD Security Controls.
Administer Linux (RHEL 8/9, Rocky 8/9, Ubuntu 20+) servers and workstations.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardened Linux operating systems.
Provide on-call, 24/7 pager support during critical testing phases.
Support multiple engineering areas with COTS hardware and custom applications.
Maintain compliance with Information Assurance processes and procedures.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM field with 0-2 years of relevant experience
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance or SCI access
Administration of Linux (RHEL 8/9, Rocky 8/9, Ubuntu 20+) servers and workstations
Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardened Linux operating systems
Familiarity with CMMC/DFARS/RMF/DOD Security Controls and compliance tools like Nessus
Basic understanding of computer networking including OS configuration and firewall management
Skilled in using department ticketing system for workflow management
