What you'll do

Manage and develop multiple teams of professionals while conducting performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
Drive the design and development of system architecture and enhance the quality of technical deliverables.
Prepare and present regular project reviews to senior management and business leaders.
Oversee disaster recovery plans, including testing and providing permit-to-operate for new applications.
Manage budgeting, planning, policy formation, and long-term strategy for assigned technology areas.
Ensure all projects comply with regulatory reporting requirements and internal risk management policies.
Define and implement best practices to ensure consistency across various development teams.

What we're looking for

15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and technology leadership.
8-10+ years of direct managerial and people leadership experience managing high-performing engineering teams.
Extensive experience with financial products, payment systems, and the financial services industry.
Expertise in Java, modern Java frameworks, Microservices architecture, Distributed systems, Kafka, and Cloud-native development.
Proficiency in API design, integration patterns, software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience with project management and collaboration tools.
Bachelor’s degree or University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
PMP Certification, MBA, or specific business licenses are preferred.
