What you'll do

  • Develop highly reliable software solutions used across various SpaceX operations.
  • Create new applications to improve internal operational efficiency and manufacturing processes.
  • Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
  • Own all aspects of the software engineering lifecycle and product development.
  • Analyze user problems deeply to engineer efficient, high-impact solutions.
  • Participate in team collaborations regarding system architecture, design, and code reviews.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software experience.
  • Experience in full stack development.
  • Programming experience in Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • At least 1 year of experience building single page web applications.
  • Expertise in designing software systems and understanding testing, CI/CD, build, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Experience with version control, build systems (Make, Bazel, Gradle), and package management tools (pip, npm).
  • Experience with UNIX-like operating systems, infrastructure tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet), Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
