Join Affirm’s Risk & Analytics team as a Marketplace Analytics Lead, a high-impact individual contributor role focusing on the economic engine of the rapidly scaling Affirm Marketplace. You will own marketplace monetization and economics by balancing supply, demand, and pricing to drive engagement and profitability while building analytical frameworks and dashboards for data-driven decision-making. Utilizing SQL, Python, DBT, and Sigma, you’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, Client Success, and Marketing teams to optimize inventory and offers, conduct loan-level profitability analyses, and lead experiments to refine marketplace performance. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of analytics experience in marketplaces or two-sided platforms, a strong understanding of supply-demand dynamics, and a bias toward leveraging AI tools for analysis and automation.
Own marketplace monetization and economics by balancing supply, demand, and pricing.
Monitor performance and adjust strategies based on engagement, relevance, and health metrics.
Build and maintain dashboards to track key Marketplace KPIs for data-driven decisions.
Analyze supply-side dynamics including incentives, pricing, and placement to drive GMV.
Lead analyses and experiments to test new placements and optimize marketplace performance.
What we're looking for
7+ years of analytics experience in marketplaces or similar two-sided platforms
Strong understanding of supply-demand dynamics, pricing strategies, and marketplace economics
Proficiency with data tools like SQL, Python, DBT, Sigma for ETL management
Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and GTM teams
Bias towards action, high ownership, and strong judgment in decision-making
Curiosity and expertise in leveraging AI to accelerate analysis and optimize workflows
