What you'll do

Design, build, and maintain data models and visualizations to support business performance decisions.
Develop pipelines to ensure fast ingestion of data into SQL and Delta Lake databases.
Maintain validation pipelines to identify and flag missing or incorrect data.
Manage and optimize existing data transformation jobs for the Sports Modeling and Innovation team.
Automate data cleaning projects on large datasets to improve database management.
Optimize query execution times by making strategic decisions between memory and speed tradeoffs.
Create and manage a prioritized backlog of Tableau dashboard and Rshiny app updates.

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience in an analytics or data engineering role.
2+ years of experience maintaining databases with a focus on improving data ingestion pipelines.
Deep understanding of relational databases.
Proficiency in SQL, Databricks, R/Python, Tableau, AWS S3 buckets, and command line.
Experience building data pipelines using Python/R and Databricks (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in a highly numerate major or relevant experience in a data analysis role.
Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork skills.
Curiosity about AI and emerging technologies (preferred).
