Analytics Engineer, AV Safety Engineering

What you'll do

• Define and productionize safety and performance metrics for automated driving systems.
• Establish analytic approaches and sufficiency criteria to support safety assessment and development decisions.
• Support proactive monitoring and targeted investigations related to system performance and safety questions.
• Apply engineering methods to process raw signals and derive meaningful representations of vehicle behavior.
• Distinguish sensor errors from real-world outliers using data validation techniques.
• Create interactive visualizations that communicate safety insights clearly for decision-making.
• Build and maintain analytics infrastructure supporting safety assurance across development phases.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience analyzing large-scale driving or vehicle data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Experience with statistics for large-scale engineering data analysis.
• Experience transforming noisy sensor data into analysis-ready metrics.
