Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Data and ML Innovation

What you'll do

• Develop and implement techniques for creating high-quality synthetic datasets across vision, text, and audio domains.
• Innovate new approaches for synthetic data generation to improve diversity, realism, and representativeness.
• Design and develop a comprehensive data generation and curation framework for foundation models.
• Build robust model evaluation pipelines to assess and improve Apple Intelligence foundation models.
• Implement semi-supervised and self-supervised representation learning techniques for both labeled and unlabeled data.
• Develop automated pipelines and tools for large-scale synthetic data generation experiments.
• Publish and present groundbreaking research findings at premier academic venues.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated expertise in computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning with a focus on data-centric ML.
• Deep understanding of multi-modal foundation models.
• Knowledge of emerging trends in generative AI and multi-modal LLMs.
• Strong programming skills and hands-on experience with Python, PyTorch, or Jax.
• 3+ years of experience developing and evaluating ML applications and improving data quality (preferred).
• Strong publication record in relevant conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR (preferred).
• Experience in multimodal large language model or image/video generation model training (preferred).
• Ph.D. or MS degree in Machine Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields (preferred).
