As a platform engineering specialist at our firmwide AI Development Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in building scalable and secure enterprise solutions that drive the adoption of AI capabilities across various business units. Your daily responsibilities will include developing tooling for deploying AI solutions using Kubernetes/OpenShift and Python, creating Terraform modules for cloud architecture, and integrating with large-scale vector stores for embeddings. You will also author best practices on Generative AI tools and models, analyze GenAI solutions focusing on agentic orchestration, and ensure the reliability and scalability of our AI platforms through automation and monitoring. Ideal candidates possess extensive experience in Kubernetes workloads, RESTful services, and cloud deployment using IaC (Terraform), along with a strong background in Python Flask or FastAPI, data engineering, and DevOps practices. This role requires expertise in Generative AI development and a deep understanding of SRE techniques to address complex business challenges at scale.

What you'll do

  • Develop tooling for deploying AI solutions using Kubernetes/OpenShift and Python.
  • Create Terraform modules for secure AI cloud service deployment at scale.
  • Build reusable Generative AI solutions using pre-trained and fine-tuned models.
  • Integrate large-scale vector stores for embeddings in AI applications.
  • Author best practices and architecture decision records for GenAI tools.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of AI platforms.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and oncall rotation to support the team.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with hands-on application development.
  • Strong background in Kubernetes/OpenShift for workload management and deployment.
  • Experience developing RESTful services for large-scale enterprise solutions.
  • Proficiency in deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP using IaC (Terraform).
  • Hands-on experience with multiprocessing, multithreading, and asynchronous I/O in Python.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in DevOps practices including CI/CD and GitOps.
