JOB TITLE: AI Platform Engineer (Google Cloud Platform) The AI Platform Engineer joins the AI Operations team to build AIOps, MLOps, FMOps, and LLMOps services. This role focuses on delivering modern, sustainable data science products that streamline processes for Actuarial, Product, Underwriting, and Sales functions. You will research and implement GenAI algorithms, architect end-to-end component solutions, and develop value-added features beyond standard cloud platform capabilities. Key responsibilities include managing engineering tasks, providing technical mentorship, and promoting best practices in data engineering. Required technical skills include Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, AI Platform, API Gateway, GKE, Docker, and Terraform. You will also utilize Python, CI/CD pipelines, and ETL technologies. The work involves solving complex business problems through scalable serverless applications, RAG pipelines, and LLM orchestration frameworks like Langchain or LlamaIndex.

What you'll do

Develop custom features that extend the capabilities of cloud platforms and vendor tools.
Research and implement GenAI algorithms, tools, and technologies for enterprise use.
Explore and integrate new services in AWS, GCP, and Azure to support ML services.
Architect and design end-to-end solutions at the component level.
Develop and promote best practices in AI, ML, and data engineering across the organization.
Manage engineering tasks and optimize workflows with minimal guidance.
Review the work of systems-level engineers to ensure alignment with business expectations.
Provide technical mentorship and career growth opportunities for team members.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a technical field.
8+ years of experience building and shipping software and/or platform solutions for enterprises.
3+ years of experience with Terraform.
Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including BigQuery, Cloud Functions, AI Platform, API Gateway, and GKE/Docker.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Automated Testing, Automated Deployments, Agile methodologies, Unit Testing, and Integration Testing tools.
Knowledge of distributed NoSQL database systems, data engineering, and ETL technology.
Foundational understanding of Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning.
