The AI Architect serves as the principal architect for AI-enabled solutions supporting the Finance department. This role involves designing and delivering secure, scalable, and maintainable systems on AWS to improve the quality, speed, and efficiency of financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and operations. The architect will translate business needs into end-to-end architectures for generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning, analytics, and data solutions. Key responsibilities include identifying high-value use cases, establishing data and AI governance, and ensuring compliance with financial controls and responsible-AI expectations. The position requires expertise in AWS services, software engineering, and the systems development life cycle. The role solves complex business problems by integrating emerging technologies into existing finance systems while managing data lineage, security, and model-lifecycle practices to ensure reliable production-grade performance.
Design and deliver secure, scalable AI-enabled solution architectures on AWS to support Finance business needs.
Translate finance requirements into end-to-end architectures for generative AI, machine learning, and data solutions.
Identify and scope high-value use cases for forecasting, reporting, reconciliation, and transaction analysis.
Implement AWS services for data ingestion, storage, processing, and application deployment while managing costs and performance.
Establish data and AI governance to ensure lineage, quality controls, and auditability of financial data.
Apply responsible-AI practices by guiding model evaluation, validation, monitoring, and risk mitigation for bias or drift.
Incorporate security, privacy, and internal financial controls into all solution designs and architectural decisions.
Provide technical consultation to stakeholders and lead delivery teams from initial discovery through production.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 2 years of experience.
Experience in application development and solution architecture for AI applications.
In-depth knowledge of the systems development life cycle and production-grade cloud, data, and analytics solutions for generative and agentic AI.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions on AWS, including services for data management, security, integration, and cost optimization.
Strong understanding of generative and agentic AI capabilities, limitations, and lifecycle practices including evaluation, validation, and responsible use.
Knowledge of data governance, privacy, access control, auditability, and financial controls.
Proven track record of delivering technology solutions while balancing value, risk, feasibility, and total cost of ownership.
Excellent written and oral English communication skills to explain technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
