JOB TITLE: 2027 Spring - IEF - Flight Controls V&V Collegiate Intern The Flight Controls team is seeking a Collegiate Intern to assist in the design, development, integration, and certification of flight control systems for large cabin programs. In this role, you will work as a Verification Engineer to develop, design, and certify hardware and software aspects of flight control system equipment. Your daily responsibilities include writing and executing system functional verification testing within an integrated lab environment, developing tools for fleet reliability data analysis and system troubleshooting, and supporting the resolution of in-service issues impacting component reliability. The position requires proficiency in coding with MATLAB and Python, as well as lab work experience focused on integration testing. This role addresses complex electronics, software, electrical, and hydraulic actuation problems within the aerospace industry.

What you'll do

  • Develop, design, and certify hardware and software aspects of Flight Control System equipment.
  • Write and execute system functional verification testing in an integrated lab environment.
  • Develop engineering tools for fleet reliability data analysis and system troubleshooting.
  • Support troubleshooting of in-service issues impacting component reliability.
  • Perform verification engineering tasks for complex electronics, software, electrical, and hydraulic actuation systems.

What we're looking for

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering.
  • Must be a full-time student at the time of application.
  • Must have completed the sophomore year prior to the internship start date.
  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher without rounding, as listed on the resume.
  • Must be available to work on-site in Savannah, GA during the Spring 2027 semester.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Coding in MATLAB or Python (preferred).
  • Lab work with a focus on integration test and troubleshooting (preferred).
