Reliability Engineer Intern

What you'll do

• Review system block diagrams, interface control documents, and schematics for compliance and redundancy.
• Identify product risks and lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Perform Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) to implement product reliability improvements.
• Conduct predictive reliability analysis to calculate failure rates and Mean Time Between Failure metrics.
• Develop maintainability prediction models and R&D qualification test plans.
• Coordinate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to establish inspection and acceptance test gates.
• Perform Weibull analysis using data from qualification campaigns and fielded assets.
• Use data analysis techniques to identify and resolve problem areas for deployed products.

What we're looking for

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
• Ability to complete a 12-week in-person internship in one of the company's offices in summer 2027.
• Prior internship experience and/or leadership on a collegiate project team or laboratory (preferred).
• Demonstrated hands-on fabrication skills (preferred).
• Exposure to test plan development, data acquisition, data analysis, and failure analysis techniques (preferred).
• Exposure to reliability analysis techniques such as FMEA/FMECA, predictive modeling, Weibull analysis, and Fault Tree Analysis (preferred).
