As a Senior Data Scientist in Walmart US stores, you will join a dynamic team focused on AI discovery and the development of algorithmic solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Design and implement Agent-Based Simulations (ABS) and Discrete-Event Simulations (DES) of retail processes.
Model customer journey, workforce scheduling, shelf replenishment, queue management, and supply chain logistics in simulations.
Integrate simulation models with real-world IoT and retail data pipelines for real-time synchronization.
Develop interactive digital twins of retail environments using NVIDIA Omniverse and advanced visualization platforms.
Incorporate reinforcement learning and agentic AI into simulation environments to enhance realism and adaptability.
What we're looking for
Proven experience with AnyLogic for Agent-Based, Discrete-Event, and System Dynamics simulations.
Strong background in retail process modeling, operational research methods, and time series forecasting.
Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, and scripting languages for model integration and deployment.
Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Omniverse or similar platforms for real-time simulation visualization.
Experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and reinforcement learning techniques.
Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks for developing intelligent agents in retail environments.
