Required skills include 8+ years of software engineering experience, hands-on expertise in designing RESTful APIs, knowledge of cloud-based architectures (AWS preferred), and proficiency in modern DevOps practices. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.

What you'll do

  • Own and drive the API product vision and roadmap aligned with Enterprise Architecture strategies.
  • Act as technical lead for enterprise and third-party data APIs, ensuring scalability and governance.
  • Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and acceptance criteria for delivery readiness.
  • Provide technical leadership across the API lifecycle, including design reviews and performance considerations.
  • Guide teams on API standards, best practices, and governance, including versioning and documentation.
  • Monitor and optimize API usage, performance, and adoption using metrics to inform roadmap prioritization.
  • Collaborate with Security, Architecture, Data Engineering, and SRE teams to ensure API reliability.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of software engineering, integration, or API development experience
  • At least 3 years in a Technical Product Owner or Technical Lead role
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering RESTful APIs
  • Experience working with API gateways, security models (OAuth, JWT, mTLS)
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into technical execution
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures (AWS preferred) and DevOps practices
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management across audiences
