What you'll do

Performs Outside Plant fiber engineering and coordination for inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation of fiber optic cable.
Oversees internal and contractor resources performing work such as cable placement, splicing, testing, and quality assurance.
Responds to fiber outages 24x7 to evaluate, plan, and implement repairs and replacements.
Prepares cost estimates for engineering assignments using established guidelines.
Coordinates local communication of contractors to resolve issues caused by customer outages.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field plus 5 years of relevant work experience.
Valid driver’s license required for travel and site visits.
Experience with fiber optic cable installation, maintenance, and repair.
Ability to analyze network performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
Knowledge of telecommunications equipment, systems, and business processes.
Proficient in using technical tools such as GIS, CAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
