As a Senior Airflow/Cloud Engineer within Deutsche Bank’s Automation Platforms division, you will design and build enterprise workload automation platforms using Apache Airflow, Google Cloud Composer, and other scheduling tools. Your daily tasks include developing and maintaining Airflow DAGs, optimizing orchestration services, and integrating cloud-based automation services across application teams. You will work closely with SREs and platform stakeholders to enhance availability, performance, and reliability in hybrid and cloud environments. The role requires expertise in Python, REST APIs, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow. Additionally, you should have a strong background in distributed systems, Google Cloud Platform services, and automation-first engineering practices to support the bank’s significant investments in automation and cloud engineering.

What we're looking for
Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise workload automation platforms.
Strong software engineering skills using Python, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services including Terraform and Cloud Composer.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment patterns.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field required.
Experience developing Airflow standards and performance tuning strategies.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for globally distributed teams.
