TL;DR · Systems Security Architect

As a senior systems architect in the SEMS organization at Lockheed Martin's Owego site, you will lead the design and development of advanced anti-tamper solutions for government customers. Your daily responsibilities include defining system functionality, conducting threat analysis, and developing secure hardware designs using FPGA/SoC platforms such as Xilinx and Intel. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create secure-processing software and program-management deliverables while maintaining Protection Plans and related artifacts. Proficiency in anti-tamper architecture, trusted computing concepts, and NSA-approved cryptographic standards is essential, along with experience with requirements tools like DOORS and knowledge of cyber-governance frameworks such as RMF and LO/CLO. This role requires an Active Secret clearance and the ability to mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced environment focused on safeguarding mission-critical assets against sophisticated threats.

What you'll do

  • Define system functionality and anti-tamper design features for mission-critical assets.
  • Lead the development of anti-tamper subsystems through requirements, implementation, and threat analysis.
  • Generate and maintain Protection Plans and related security artifacts for program protection.
  • Create information-handling plans and develop test procedures for secure hardware solutions.
  • Participate in technical interchange meetings and program milestone reviews with stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • Active Collateral Secret clearance required; must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Proficient in anti-tamper architecture and secure hardware design.
  • Experience with FPGA/SoC platforms (Xilinx, Intel, Microchip).
  • Familiarity with defense systems lifecycle and NSA-approved cryptographic standards.
  • Knowledge of cyber-governance frameworks like RMF and LO/CLO.
  • Ability to conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for classified hardware.
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field with 8+ years related experience.
