What you'll do

  • Lead containment activities to mitigate risk to build and launch schedules.
  • Drive resolution at suppliers for critical path components to ensure zero disruption to build schedule.
  • Review issues on assigned parts, solve root causes, and implement changes at supplier or SpaceX.
  • Own the new product introduction process at a supplier for new parts or drawing changes.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing and inspection of mechanical products.
  • Master’s degree in engineering with expertise in machining operations like milling, turning, fabrication.
  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings, models, and GD&T standards.
  • Working knowledge of supplier quality processes including PPAP, APQP, FARI.
  • Experience with statistical techniques such as design of experiments, Lean, Six Sigma.
