As a Staff Workday Engineer on the People Systems team, you will design and configure Workday solutions across HCM, Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll, acting as a subject matter expert. You’ll collaborate with various business teams to translate requirements into system configurations, reports, and integrations while focusing on reliability, resilience, and scalability. Your responsibilities include supporting mergers and acquisitions by driving onboarding workflows and data migration activities, and you will contribute to the development of AI-enabled solutions within HR systems to enhance efficiency and decision-making. The role requires extensive experience with Workday configuration, report building, and API integrations, along with familiarity with Payroll and Finance processes. Proficiency in Workday Studio, custom integration patterns using APIs (SOAP/REST/WQL), and a track record of leveraging AI tools for engineering workflows is essential.
Drive the design and continuous improvement of Workday modules including HCM, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits.
Architect and optimize scalable Workday integrations, custom reports, and advanced security models focusing on reliability and scalability.
Partner with People Operations, Compensation, Payroll, and Engineering teams to deliver system enhancements and process automations.
Support mergers and acquisitions by driving onboarding workflows and data migration activities aligned with company standards.
Contribute to the development of AI-enabled solutions within HR systems to improve efficiency and decision-making.
What we're looking for
6+ years of Workday experience across HCM, Compensation, Payroll, and Benefits.
Proven expertise in designing and configuring scalable Workday integrations and security models.
Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, custom integration patterns using APIs (SOAP/REST/WQL).
Familiarity with payroll and finance processes and their connection to HR systems.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate effectively.
