What you'll do

Architect and evolve backend systems for real-time and recorded media ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery.
Lead technical initiatives to enhance reliability, scalability, cost efficiency, and compliance of media systems.
Define and enforce platform standards for performance, privacy, retention, and operational excellence.
Translate complex requirements from Safety, Legal, and Product teams into scalable platform capabilities.
Mentor senior engineers and drive multi-quarter technical initiatives across the organization.

What we're looking for

10+ years of backend engineering experience with expertise in distributed systems and large-scale service architecture.
Proficiency in backend languages like Go, Java, or similar, and experience building high-availability microservices.
Proven ability to design and operate media systems handling real-time streaming, transcoding, storage, and compliance.
Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, real-time streaming systems, and asynchronous processing pipelines.
Experience working with privacy, data retention, compliance, and security-sensitive systems in a technical leadership role.
