As a Senior Software Engineer on Circle’s Data Platform Engineering team, you will design and build core data platform services including warehousing, orchestration, and cataloging to support Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams. Your responsibilities include enhancing monitoring, performance, reliability, and resource optimization of these platforms while developing batch and streaming data ingestion frameworks for on-chain, internal system, and partner data. You will also provide ML data platform capabilities for AI/Data Science teams and work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience in building data-intensive systems, hands-on expertise in scalable data pipelines, and familiarity with open-source data technologies and cloud-native platforms. Experience in payment systems or blockchains is a plus, as well as knowledge of streaming frameworks like Apache Flink or Google Cloud Dataflow.

What we're looking for
4+ years of software engineering experience in data-intensive systems
Hands-on experience with scalable batch and streaming data pipelines
Expertise in data governance, lineage, and provenance concepts
Strong understanding of open-source data technologies and cloud-native platforms
Ability to solve complex problems independently and drive projects forward
Proven technical leadership in architecture and system design for large-scale systems
Experience in payment systems or blockchain technology domains
