As a Staff Software Engineer on the ESXi OS Services team, you will lead the design and delivery of critical functionality for enterprise-class virtualization and cloud-native workloads. Your daily tasks include designing advanced operating system techniques, architecting scalable container services, and developing Kubernetes platform capabilities integrated with ESXi and vSphere. You will maintain open source code, drive development for SaaS, CaaS, and FaaS platforms, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The role requires strong proficiency in C/C++, Golang, and Python, along with a deep understanding of Linux/Unix operating system internals. Experience in leading software projects, developing distributed systems, and working with cloud-native technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
Design advanced OS techniques for managing virtual systems on x86 architectures.

What we're looking for
8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering for a BS degree holder.
Strong proficiency in C/C++, Golang, and Python programming languages.
Deep understanding of Linux/Unix operating system internals and user space concepts.
History of leading system software projects or teams.
Experience architecting distributed software solutions and developing core OS services.
Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, containerization, and Kubernetes architecture.
