As a Staff Engineer on the vSphere Kubernetes Service (VKS) team, you will design and build a distributed management system that runs Kubernetes control planes reliably across thousands of enterprise environments while managing the full lifecycle of Kubernetes workload clusters. Your day-to-day responsibilities include serving as a technical mentor for a group of engineers, driving agile methodologies, owning the Software Development Lifecycle, and collaborating with product management to translate large-scale problems into clear technical designs. You will work extensively with Go, C++, Java, and other technologies while integrating deeply with storage, networking, identity, and VM infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience with Kubernetes control plane architecture, extending the Kubernetes API, and managing complex production issues across multiple layers in an enterprise setting. What we're looking for
